Credit Card Stolen, Again

I just got a phone call from my CitiBank.  Last night, CitiBank’s fraud department was notified by one of the places I shop (they didn’t say which) that their system was compromised.  CitiBank closed my credit card account, effective immediately, and I will be issued a new accout number.

This is such a pain in the patootie!  Now, I need to go back through my credit card statements and find all the little autopay transactions (like my cell phone bill) and cancel the autopay.

And, yes.  If you were paying attention to the subject line and noticed that I said, “again”, this is the second time that I’ve gone through this.  Last time (Who?) was a bit more scarry, as someone actually changed the address, phone and email address on my credit card account.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like this sort of thing is happening more and more.

Last month Bank of America called to ask if we had just bought $3,000 of soccer equipment. And how about truck accessories?
